Today is our Emma Cornelius Hospitality House collection.  We are looking for donations of summer clothing in good condition (men’s women’s and children’s – all sizes).

     Upcoming Meeting/Events:   Deacons & Deaconesses meet today.  Missions Committee meeting on Tuesday, May 22 @ 7pm.

     Red Hat Gals will meet on Thursday, June 7 @6:00pm at Sunnybrook Assisted Living in Fort Madison.  Each gal attending is asked to bring a salad to share.  Table
service, drink, and dessert will be provided.  Reservations will be taken until May 27.  Please see sign up sheet on back table for more information.

     Please see the back table for camp brochures.  Lake Darling Junior Camp is for those entering 4th grade through 6th grade.  Iowa Regular Baptist Camp will
accommodate those entering 7th grade through 2012 graduates.

     On June 2, we will be having an all-church fishing party.  We will meet here at the church @ 7:15am and take the van to the Des Moines County Conservation Board offices in West Burlington.  Please sign up on the back table if attending.

     New Sunday School Classes beginning November 6:  JoAnn Yaley will lead a Ladies’ class, “The Christian Home” and Pastor Dean Graber will lead the men in an adult study entitled “Iron Men Ministries”.  Sign up sheets are on the back table.

     We’re updating the birthday and anniversary list.  If we don’t currently have your special day(s) listed for the calendar, please let the office know.

     New Cancer Caregiver Support Group, first Tuesday of every month.  Call 372-1450 for more information.

     The Church is looking to give away the older, upright piano in our Fellowship Hall.  If interested, please contact a member of the Music Committee or the Church office.

     Pastor Dean and Esther are planning to lead a small group, in-home Bible study for couples entitled “Home Builders Marriage Enrichment”.  Please sign up on the back table.  Size is limited to six couples.

     Ladies & Girls:  Do you enjoy making simple crafts?  Can you address an envelope?  Can you wrap a gift?  Be involved with this ministry to prepare Christmas gifts for our college students.  Saturday Nov. 12 from 10 to noon.  Please sign up on the sheet at the back of the sanctuary.

     The Board of Christian Education is holding a Teacher Appreciation Supper tonight @ 5:00pm.  All teachers/substitute teachers/nursery workers and their spouses are invited to attend.

     For anyone interested in participating in the Christmas Cantata, there will be a practice at 5:00pm on Sunday, Oct. 23 at MadisonBaptistChurch.  Any questions, please contact John Moles, 372-8526.
