     The Maranatha Baptist Bible College Choir will be performing at Calvary Baptist Church in Burlington on Sunday, February 26 @  6 pm.  Flyers are on the back table.

     Red Hat Gals of First Baptist will meet Thursday, March 1 at 6:30pm at the church.  Each attending is asked to bring a salad to share.  Drink, bread and dessert will be provided.  Each gal is asked to bring a piece of jewelry (either new or antique) to share for the program.  Please sign up on the back table if you plan to attend.

     The Ascension Quartet is scheduled to perform on Saturday, March 31 @6:00pm.  Based in Lebanon, Missouri, they are a non-profit group with the intentions of ministry over  money.  They travel thousands of miles each year to bring a message of love and joy through song to congregations large and small.  Winning people to Christ is the main reason they sing and tell about the love of Jesus.  Please visit their website, www.theascensionqt.com, for more information.  Jim Jinkens would appreciate any ideas in promoting our gospel music groups.

     Valentine’s Party:  Friday, February 17 @ 6:00pm here at FBC.  This is an all church party–not for couples only.  Meat, drinks, and dessert will be provided.  Please sign up on the back table and indicate whether you would like to bring a vegetable or a salad, your meat preference, and If nursery care is needed for children.

     Today is our Fourth Quarter and Annual Business Meeting.  The 2011 Annual Report of the Elder Board as a supplement to the Fourth Quarter & Annual Report Packets is available on the back table.  Please pick one up in addition to the full report packet.

     Missionary Lloyd Peace will be here next Sunday, January 22 to deliver the message.  The church is looking for a family to host Lloyd and his wife, Athena, and their four children the evening before.  Please let the office know if you would be interested.

     Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and we need a few more goodies for the care packages to be sent to our college students.  The sign up sheet is on the back table and items are needed by Feb. 1

     Please save your Sunday comics for our college students. Put them on the coat rack by the office.  Also we’re asking that you don’t throw away your old Christmas cards!  They will be used on a bulletin board in the future. Please put them in the box on the coat rack by the office.

     New Sunday School Classes beginning November 6:  JoAnn Yaley will lead a Ladies’ class, “The Christian Home” and Pastor Dean Graber will lead the men in an adult study entitled “Iron Men Ministries”.  Sign up sheets are on the back table.

     Pastor Dean and Esther are planning to lead a small group, in-home Bible study for couples entitled “Home Builders Marriage Enrichment”.  Please sign up on the back table.  Size is limited to six couples.

     Ladies & Girls:  Do you enjoy making simple crafts?  Can you address an envelope?  Can you wrap a gift?  Be involved with this ministry to prepare Christmas gifts for our college students.  Saturday Nov. 12 from 10 to noon.  Please sign up on the sheet at the back of the sanctuary.

     The Board of Christian Education is holding a Teacher Appreciation Supper tonight @ 5:00pm.  All teachers/substitute teachers/nursery workers and their spouses are invited to attend.
